Italy risks suffering a summer slump in arrivals of those tourists who travel by car and remain a few days. But along with benefits the 44.4 million yearly international visitors still bring giant problems.
In May 2020, Milan will host the 37th annual convention of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) inside the famed Castello Sforzesco. It’s the first time the convention takes place in an Italian city and the event will take place within a campaign aimed at promoting LGBTQ+ tourism in the city and beyond.
On March 27 ENIT offered an Italian style “Aperitivo,” an occasion for lovers of Italy to come together and better understand the culture and the lifestyle of the boot-shaped country, and to discover Italy's up-and-coming areas and hidden gems.
