    Hokusai Life Coloured

    Claudia Piscitelli follows an enigmatic and intricate innermost path and rather than simply painting, she challenges the limits and crafty pushes the boundaries of traditional technique until she finds her artistic tools with which she can take off toon a very personal journey. By doing so, she creates work with eyes and ideas which mirror her vast emotional nature. Her tribute to Hokusai becomes an introspective journey resulting in 12 diptychs on display at the New York Studio School - Student Gallery and Lobby at 8 W8th street, New York, NY 10011, from September 22 to October 4, 2017 (10 am – 6 pm)

    Meet Laura Campisi, A Sicilian Jazz Musician Between Two Worlds

    I recently got to know Laura Campisi, a wonderful musician from Palermo, who now lives in New York. Laura is an award winning songwriter and jazz singer. She performs a wide range of music: jazz, folk, r&b and traditional Sicilian music. On Monday, June 13, Laura will be performing Italian Jazz at Zinc Bar in the West Village. This particular show is about creating abridge between contemporary Italy and the United States. Laura and I recently sat down for a chat about music, inspiration and her current projects.

    Curated by Isabella del Frate Rayburn, with the participation of Dr. Martina Caruso, who edited the catalogue of the exhibition and who has a personal connection with the artist, Giulio Turcato, the drawings is a show that has just opened at Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo' and that will be on view until December 12. This is the first exhibition to bring together a wide selection, about 40, of the artist's works on paper to the United States.

A Knight of the Italian Republic for music merit, during his 40-year career he released 14 internationally acclaimed albums recorded in Paris, New York, Italy and London. As we met him, we found out more about his extraordinary life as a musician... and an accountant!
