Join us for the closing reception of Joy Ride and a special performance by Scott Alger. Joy Ride is a group exhibition produced by the Bicycle Film Festival and Anonymous Gallery, curated by Brendt Barbur, Joseph Ian Henrikson, and Tanya Arakawa Rosenstein. Scott's performance will be conducted along side the artworks of Kenny Scharf, Jonas Mekas, Martha Cooper, Agathe Snow, Kelsey Brookes, Cheryl Dunn, Kenzo Minami, James Jean, Scott Campbell, Mike Giant, Julia Chiang, AIKO, Chris Uphues, Aakash Nihalani, and more!

Joy Ride NYC 2009 was the Bicycle Film Festival's most ambitious exhibition to date and will travel to 5 other cities, opening next in San Francisco (JULY 16, 2009), and then travel to Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Denver where the BFF will exhibit a variety of internationally established and locally celebrated artistic talent.

Scott Alger's has developed his work among a group of leading artists, graffiti artists, fashion designers and photographers based in New York City and London. His photography has been featured in the fashion/style magazine Surface where he was awarded with the Avant Guardian Award. Most recently he participated in Ray Ban's Colorize campaign, and Phillips Du Pury's "Friends in Deed". Scott brings performance and street edge to fine art and fashion photography, using a timed slow exposure, he 'paints' or 'tags' with colour light to create a dramatic effect.
