  • In collaboration with Istituto Luce Cinecittà, the Film Society of Lincoln Center is presenting Open Roads: New Italian Cinema. Showcasing a wide variety of genres, this film festival will be screening Italian contemporary films, along with exciting question and answer sessions with directors and actors from May 31- June 6.

    From October 26 through December 8, 2017, NYU's Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò is hosting the exhibition "Burri-Posters," a unique collection that spreads new light on the historiography of Italian artist Alberto Burri. During the opening we had the chance to interview Chiara Sarteanesi, current curator of the Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini Collezione Burri of Città di Castello, the foundation that organized the exhibition, along with the sponsors Magazzino Italian Art and entrepreneur Maurice Kanbar.

  • New York’s Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò hosted singer-songwriter and storyteller Peppe Voltarelli for an intriguing presentation of his new record project “Voltarelli canta Profazio.” The Calabrese singer rediscovers both his ethnic origins and the work of Otello Profazio, one of the most important folk singer-songwriters in southern Italy. Stefano Albertini, director of Casa Italiana, presented the event alongside with Joseph Sciorra, Director for Academic and Cultural Programs at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute (CUNY)
  • La Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò di New York ha ospitato il cantautore Peppe Voltarelli per una suggestiva presentazione del suo nuovo progetto discografico "Voltarelli canta Profazio" nel quale il cantante calabrese riscopre le sue origini etniche e l'opera musicale di Otello Profazio, uno dei più importanti cantautori folk del Sud Italia.     In commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Jewish Ghetto in Venice and the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, "The Merchant in Venice" was produced by Italian Theater company Compagnia de’ Colombari to be performed in the Venetian Jewish Ghetto for the first time in history. Cast members and the director, Karin Coorod, answer questions about the challenges and success of the production.
