Handimals - by Guido Daniele
Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center will host the United States debut of Guido Daniele's Handimals art exhibit.
The exhibition is comprised of 24 photographs of hands Daniele has painted and transformed into extraordinarily life-like animals including a giraffe, turkey, elephant, horse, dolphin and eagle. Affectionately known as 'Michel-handgelo' Daniele, an Italian-born artist, began creating art at a young age. He shifted away from canvases and began experimenting with body painting in 1990 and narrowed his focus to hand painting in 2000. Since then his Handimals have been exhibited to critical and public acclaim in England, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Cuba, Italy, Brazil, Zanzibar, the Netherlands and Monaco.
