The Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to present an evening with

TONI SERVILLO in “Trilogia della Villeggiatura” by Carlo Goldoni

During the evening, Toni Servillo, Sergio Escobar - Director of Teatro il Piccolo di Milano -, Angelo Curti - President of Teatri Uniti di Napoli - and other actors of the Italian Theater Company will introduce the performance “Trilogia della villeggiatura” by Carlo Goldoni, a co-production of Piccolo Teatro di Milano and Teatri Uniti di Napoli, adapted and directed by Toni Servillo.

Goldoni’s trilogy follows two families from Livorno as they prepare for, go on, and return from a vacation in the country. Comic misadventures ensue, but the focus remains on Goldoni’s affectionately drawn characters. The trilogy is further enriched by the playwright’s sharply caustic observations about both Italian society and life’s ironies and injustices: impossible loves and lack of money are the main subjects.
