LACMA, in association with The National Gallery of Art, presents "The Chiaroscuro Woodcut in Renaissance Italy," an exhibition featuring 100 chiaroscuro woodcuts. This display, located in Los Angeles, opened June 3 and will close September 6.
The National Council of Columbia Association in Civil Service celebrated the exemplar service of Italians and Italian Americans at their annual Award Dinner. Attendees were honored, awarded, and recognized for their hard work, dedication, and admirable characters that serve to support their communities and preserve Columbus and his legacy.
In collaboration with Istituto Luce Cinecittà, the Film Society of Lincoln Center is presenting Open Roads: New Italian Cinema. Showcasing a wide variety of genres, this film festival will be screening Italian contemporary films, along with exciting question and answer sessions with directors and actors from May 31- June 6.
The first ever “Italy Run by Ferrero” will be held in Central Park celebrating the Festa della Repubblica. Ferrero Group, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy, is sponsoring the event. The race will take place Sunday June 3 and is free for all participants.
“Canova e la Danza” is coming to the Italian Institue of Culture in New York City May 23. Highly revered for his sculptures, Canova also painted beautiful classical scenes which will be displayed at the exhibition until June 28.

San Francisco’s Museo Italo Americano presents “Colori tra Cielo e Terra– Colors Between Heaven and Earth: The Four Seasons and other Vivaldian Inspirations” by Angela Sepe Novara. This exhibit opens May, 10 and will end September, 2.
“Caravaggio-The Soul and the Blood” is making its West Coast premiere in Los Angeles. The film, produced by Sky Art Cinema and Magnitudo Film, tells the story of the famous, Italian Baroque painter Caravaggio and his works. This event was organized by the IIC Los Angeles in collaboration with Sky.
Director of "Daughter of Mine" ("Figlia Mia"), Laura Bispuri, and starring actress, Alba Rohrwacher, will be attending the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C for a preview of their film and a conversation with Laura delli Colli, the President of the Italian Film Journalists Association.
